Engine Swap

I have a friend that can get a deal on an engine and tranny buy. They both have around 46,000 miles on them. He needs the tranny for his daily driver, and the engine is neede for his '90 that he wants to sell. I have a '91 w/130,000 miles on it. It runs strong and I am not worried about it. BUT he would like me to have the engine w/46k on it and put mine in the car that he wants to sell. Is it worth the hassle and the gamble that the engine will run strong? That is if it hasnt been sitting for a long period of time. Any thoughts on this?
