Engine swap, 12a into 88rx7???

Engine swap, 12a into 88rx7???

k im new here so cut me some slack. i have a 81 rx7 with a 12a in it, engine runs great, body is brutal though. i found an 88 rx7, good condition that i can buy for $300, the problem is that the engines blown, im just wondering if its possible to get my engine in the 88, and will it be expensive???

No it will not go right in bud, and it will be slower then the car you have now..... The engine is underpowered for the weight of the 88..

ditto what rrtec said. it'll be cheaper to fix the body than to convert it. give the 12a a street port with a nice size carb and u'll feel the difference. for its power-weight ratio it's pretty fast.
