you need the type with the grooves cut into the bracket for the slidey things that would normally hook up to an engine block. take off the slidey adjustable pieces and you can line up bolt holes on the block to fit with the grooves cut into the head of the stand.

I've never had any trouble with ANY engine stand I had to rent or borrow. They ALL will work.
Bolt it to the front plate using large washers.
