I've been seeing that the 13B came in different series'. Can someone give me some info on these and what series do I have ('86 Sport)?

 

series 4 is the 86-88
series 5 is the 89-91

 

Series 4: Old style tailights, non-aero mirrors, different front end-slightly, 146HP for the NA, 186HP for the T2, mechanical Oil metering pump, different impedence injectors, different ECU, lower compression rotors than Series 5.

Series 5: Circular tailights, aero mirrors, better looking front end(my opinion) 160HP for NA, 200hp for T2, electrical OMP, higher impedance injectors, higher compression rotors.

 

If you are talking about the engine itslef, there are three versions. Pre-86, 86-89-and 90-91

Actually there is a pre 74 too. The 84-85 13B in the GSL-SE has 6 ports, the other 13B's were 4 port.
