Arrow engine removal difficulties

Hi.
So today i started taking down the engine. removed all gearbox bolts and took apart most hoses/wires.
i have to friends to help me but we had some trouble. the engine does not want to come off the gearbox. i can see space between the box and the engine and i can put a wrench in that space but on the top of the engine it seems to be intact. we tried tilted the engine pull it back and forward .
Is there some bolts still in on the top side of the gearbox and engine what i could not see behind the intake manifold because i have not removed it yet. i though i can remove it later. i put a jack under the gbox to support it.
also removed 3 wires from ecu

i could use some suggestions

1987 n/a

sorry for some bad english i may have used some word in wrong place.

It's likely you didn't remove all the bolts between the motor and trans, especially since you haven't pulled the intake. You shouldn't have to remove the lower intake though, just the upper to make it easier. Don't pry too hard before the bolts are out or you'll break something expensive.

okay i will take off the intake in the morning.
but if some bolts are still intact then the space between the gearbox and engine could not be? the space between the engine and the gearbox is about 1.5cm down under. but on top its like a few mm´s

Check that the shifter housing isn't hitting inside the car. The engine needs to tilt backwards and trans needs to drop slightly to clear the shifter cutout.

Edit: Found you a nice big picture showing the trans mounting bolt holes. Courtesy of Clokker.

Since you have space all around it sounds more like you're pulling crooked against dowels but I've only ever pulled my engine once and I don't remember if it even had dowels, sorry.

Also you'll want to wiggle the motor so it comes off the input shaft.

Get a leveling bar. It could be why you were having so much difficulties separating the two. It looks like the transmission was angled, but you were pulling the engine level.
