Alright everybody, in the next few weeks I am planning on doing my very first rebuild. I've read through the archives and done other reading. I will also be giving it a streetport. It is a 1988 TII. Here is my list so far.....


Atkins Rotary 87-88 Turbo overhaul kit C,

This includes most eveything to replace for the basic rebuild I believe, correct me if I am wrong. I know there are other things I need to inspect and check other parts to see if they need to be replaced. I just want to make sure this is a good kit to go with, and if there are other things I should get, please let me know.

Also, since I will be streetporting it, I realize I will need to upgrade a few things.
These few things being a better fuel pump, larger injectors, a F.C.D, new exhaust sytem, port stock turbo wastegate, new intake, new fuel rail?, maybe a fuel computer like the SAFCII? I'm not quite positive if thats all I will be needing for now. If I am missing anything, please let me know.

I would like to work my way towards 250whp, but that's in the future. I just want to set my car up right for now. Please let me know if this setup would be correct or not.

there are some fd upgrades that you throw in there that help it alot. i dont remember what pieces or part numbers. i think one was the fd oil regulator? also get the oilpan baffle and an extra pan gasket.

 

Anyone? I need to get this right.

 

OR, could I just get away with a the new streetported motor, fuel upgrades and intake for now?

 

I have both the atkins video and the rotary aviation vid, and i thought the rotary avation one was slightly more informative. I got them for my first rebuild on anything and they both had info the other one lacked. the only problem i had, you wont have, because the RA vid is a S4 and i have an S5.

 

It's called Rotary Aviation? Hmmm I'll chec kthat out. But as far as my mentioned setup.... anyone want to cofirm that its alright?
