Does anyone know how to check engine main relay if it's damaged or not?!

Assuming the car is an S4, the B/Y wire at the relay will have voltage w/key to on and not to off and the B/W wire in the same plug as the B/Y wire will behave the same.

You have to have it plugged in to truly check it. The best you can do unplugged is to get it to click but that doesn't prove much.

No. The four wire plug. It would be easier just to pull the two wire connector off of the leading coil and measure the B/Y wire for voltage w/key to on. And to check the Green check connector plug near the leading coil that has a B/W wire, has four wires in all, and it should have battery voltage w/key to on.

good morning. well i went outside and hooked the engine main relay and i checked that 2 wire connector on the leading coil and the voltage reads 11.68 ignition on and 0.00 off and when i try crank the motor and turn it off its still 0.00 now off to the green clip B/W wire in on position its 0.00 but after i try to crank the motor it get 11.89 volts and after seeing that i checked it with the key off and it reads 11.89.

i really dont know what to do at this point. please help me fix this.

So the B/W wire had 0 volts w/key to on. And then after cranking the engine it shows 11.89 volts w/key to on. And w/key to off it now shows 11.89 volts?

The White/Blue wire feeds the B/W wire at the Main Relay. It's possible that the W/L wire is somewhat loose at the engine fuse box as the EGI COMP fuse powers this wire. It is also possible that the Main Relay is malfunctioning. If you jumper the W/L to B/W and B/G to B/Y at the four wire relay plug and leave it unplugged then try the same tests a time or two. If things change then the relay is the source of the problem. An iffy relay ground could cause this problem instead of it being the actual relay itself too.
