Arrow Engine harness replacement

So I was installing a couple parts on my '87 turbo motor while it's still out of the car, and I noticed that in several places the wire insulation has worn away, causing wires to touch. Also, I noticed several broken connectors. So, my question is should I just try to repair the harness or replace it? I am wondering, as many of the wires are extremely stiff and brittle, but I can't seem to find any replacement harnesses, either.

I'm still trying to figure out what is usable or needs replacement on this motor before installing it.

A little background: I bought the car ('87 TurboII) with the motor out of it. The motor should be in usable condition as it was originally going to be installed an a '90 N/A. I also have an S5 NA motor, that I have no use for and may consider selling if anyone is interested.

I would personally take the harness out and go threw the whole thing and repair as needed.

What would be the best way to do this? Though I think I would feel more comfortable just replacing the whole thing if I can find a replacement.

Ahh screw it, I think I'm just going to pull it off the motor and build a new one using high-temp wiring and the stock connectors.

make sure you mark every connector..both sides ..where it goes..and to what..that way you are not playiing Guessing games when you go to install the new harness..and if you have a Cam..document it and that way you will make you job a whole lot easier..Good Luck..

Definitely becareful with the connectors. Mazda does not offer just the connectors and most of the harness' have been discontinued or are just plain expensive.
