Engine Confusion

So I recently bought my S4 TII and was told that the engine was blown and replaced with an NA. I am looking into restoring back to the turbo model and so far i have found that the drive train is still the turbo parts. Is it possible to rebuild the turbo engine and remove the turbo to place the NA parts on it? The only part numbers i found on the engine so far is on the rotor housing (PN: 1650701ARS). This i think would make my life easier if i could just buy the turbo parts instead of a whole new engine. Ideas would be great since I am new to the rotor world. Thanks.

Oh man, you're in luck. There are plenty of threads about making an NA into a turbo. On that same note, you've got a far beefier drivetrain now, so you'll not have to worry about anything breaking there. Look on AaronCake's website for info on turning it into a turbo... again.

But seriously, it'd be easier to drop in the TII engine.

I will get pics up tomorrow, any specific locations? But my question is weather or not a turbo engine can be transformed to the NA?

Yeah, but it'll suck. Low compression will make little power.

Well yes it can easily be converted. Just take off the turbo and reroute some piping. Now you are N/A, but with a TII shell and everything else it would be better to just get a rebuilt TII engine and be good to go.

It looks like a complete S4 NA engine to me. The manifolds are stock including 6-port actuators. And there doesn't seem to be a knock sensor on the center iron. I vote 6-port NA engine w/ TII flywheel.

Can anyone advise me on a reliable company for a JDM engine. This seems to be my only good option at the moment. Thanks.
