engine build problem

Hey I just got my first engine and Ive run into some problems im missing some parts could you tell me what goes here?

Meh. Just throw some blockoff plates over them. You don't need either.

Read it, know it, love it.

Go find a good U-Pull-It junkyard and snag a complete s4 upper intake manifold and buy a new water pump. Start there, and use the FSM for whatever other help you need.

Did you check compression on that block before you bought it?

And one more thing- gasket in a tube isn't supposed to be used for intakes. It can, but it's usually used in conjunction with the proper gaskets to make them seal better, such as the corners of valve cover gaskets & oil pans. Use it on your water pump gasket, not instead of. Some things just can't be sealed with RTV, and the coolant system is one of them.
