I was going to make it adjustable but I think that will compromise the strength and rigidity. Although I will look into it for sure. I beleive I can make it adjustable without compromising its strength. It will just be harder ie $$

 

maybe you can find some like 1/2" or bigger stud and weld it on the end so you'd have threads to work with or uh...i'll let you figure it out

 

Yeah I have a good idea to make it about 1/2-1" adjustable but I need to confirm this on the TII version as I have only made the N/a version right now. I know for sure I can do this on the N/a one. The construction is one peice alone so I want to keep it simple.

Now I have to go figure out how to get my logo on this thing lol.

 

i would buy one.. i dont like the effort and the pain in the *** of the RB one.. take a look at the ones the 3rd gen guys use.. its a thick plate screwed into the inside fender and a think rd going to the manafolds somewhere.. looks very nice and clean..

 

Thats somewhat what I have going on the N/a model and probably what is going to go down with the TII model aswell.

EDIT hopefully tommorow I can get a few pictures of the final version of the prototype and get some oppinions from you all. I am going to paint it black with some enamle for now so you all get the idea of what it will look like painted/finished.

 

I talked to the material supplier and I just got enough to make about 5 of the things so I am just going to make a few and hopefully you all like them.

I'm very interested. Count me in. Put me on the list. I like the polised steel look. Red might be cool. Blue? Hell, I don't care what color.

 

It would have to be adjustable for me to even consider it, different motor mounts, years of body flex, and many other thingswould caus fitment to be different on many cars. Athough a non adjustable would help i'd be worried that it might cause damage to the body mount if it were to tight

 

Hmmmm...seems like a good idea but a damper rather than a brace would be more comfortable. Aerodyne makes one www.aerodyne.net and it's only $95.00

 

i had my eye on the rb brace. what's the diff between the areodyne and rb? one has a damber and the other doesn't?

 

A damper is defeating the purpose of the product. Its like having performance struts on your car but really soft springs. The rigidity is what your looking for here. The reason I have not posted pictures yet is because the first aluminum ones did not come out good at all. I am going to try and get them made in steel for more strength. But I will not be able to anodize the steel. I can try and get it polished though. The price I am shooting for right now is going to be 50 dollars shipped in the continental US.

Um, wrong...a damper limits movement of the engine from side to side though allows some give and absorbtion to prevent a lot of harshness/vibration that a solid mount will surely provide. If all you want is a solid brace, you can make one with parts from any hardware store.

 

I'd rather have a solid mounted one sorry. I'm not worried about vibrations I tend to have a lower luxury need level than most people.
