is the engine blown or not.... that is hte question

its at the dealler right now not sure if i should get it he said it smokes alot and sometimes dies when it is ran for a while. Was wondering if there is anything i can do to fix or does it need a rebuild asap.It is a 87 n/a

when i owned it before right before i lost it it was using oil not to bad but pretty bad will it do that if compression is lowor does the oil seals have to go for it to leak oil. It is coming out by hte oil filter i think they still had the old seal in there when theyput the new filter on.

Well, that's a lot of strange info, if it's bad seals it'll smoke like a chimney and not stop (and usually you'll see oil dripping at the exhaust manifold) and it'll run for crap/stall/not idle very well/so forth. As far as the oil filter goes, chances are they put it on wrong, don't know why else it'd leak from there. Probably will need a rebuild.

It could be the little o-ring seals are below the oil adapter plate that the oil filter sits on...those leak sometimes.
