you could try letting some pressure out with the bleeder screw near where the upper radiator hose attaches.

check the water pump and see if it leaking anything out of it.

or it could be the seals in the rotor housing burned and coolant is leaking out of the water jacket and loosing your coolant.

Check the thermostat
Check your radiator fan clutch
Be sure that the plastic undertray is on the car.

Look behind the fan for radiator cracks --
Then, go get yourself a new thermostat --
Check for leaks to/from the heater core --
After the Car is overheated check the upper rad hose for pressure, you should be able to feel the fluid in the hose, if u cant get a new radiator cap, (which should be done with thermostat replacement anyway)
Then use english man, my god...

is the plastic undercover that important, I threw mine in the garbage. (it was wrecked anyways)

One thing you need to check is that there is NO AIR in your radiator system. What I like to do is fill it up (detach the over flow tube and hold it up and plug it with your thumb then fill your rad till it reaches the top, then squish the main rad hose so it pumps the water through the system...pluging the over flow helps the fluid to not just go into your over flow bin and actually fill the system until there is no air left in it)

MY gets hot

Ive noticed lately that my car almost overheats if I sit for a long period of time, itll get just to the point where its out of the ok line and into the "H" territory. But whenever it runs normal I can always here it boiling in the rad, thats normal right? Im gonna get some of that **** from NAPA for diesel engines, I hear itll make your engine run a hell of alot cooler. But by the way how much is a thermostat, and how hard is it to replace?

I am no expert, but i think your engine might be getting too hot. My temp gauge never goes above 1/4 of the way. Even after prologed periods at high rpms(road racing). Oh and isn't it really bad for rotory engines to overheat? You should probably get that checked out.

Correct me if Im wrong but:
86-88 should read 1/4 way up the temp gauge and 89-91 should read 1/2 way up the temp gauge.

It really is irrelevant how far up the gauge the needle goes, it is relevant how hot the engine is though. If you have concerns you should buy a good temp gauge to see how hot it really is running. And YES it is very bad to overheat a rotary engine, as in DEATH! It is probably the single worst thing you can do to a rotary.
Change the thermostat, radiator cap, check the water pump, flush and flow test the radiator, replace if necessary, add only enough antifreeze to keep it safe in your part of the country, and for extra measure add "Water Wetter" to the radiator. If it overheats beyond this, you have major problems.
Hope this helps,
hanman

and possibly u may want to check the clutch on the fan... it may not be pulling in enough air to help cool the radiator..

Sounds like a fan clutch...Or a busted Rad... Your engine is really onyl getting air cooled -- could be the water pump too

A Thermostat costs anywhere from 4-8 bux... you can get them anywhere and should take you about 20 minutes (MAX) to install... Your Themostat sits on the 'block" in the neck from the upper rad hose.. cant miss it...
Oh yeah, make SURE you put it in the right way...
