Energy Suspension rear control arm busings wtf

I am having some problems with my rear control arm energy suspension bushing. I have a s5. The bushing wont sit flush with the arm when the center metal peice is in.

I can push the two halfs in all the way but when the metal peice is then inserted the halfs come out a little. It seems like the metal road is squishing the two halfs so they expand out of there spots a little.

I know this sounds confusing but if u have done your bushings you should be able to understand it

try assembling it and then compress the 2 halves and sandwich them into the bracket, their mating bracket will hold them in place and keep them together when you have it all assembled.

yea, it is a PITA but i'm sure you will be happy once they are all in and the car feels stiffer when cornering.

i had to drill mine out, looks like your removal was a bit easier than mine, they were in there and they werent going to come out without a bit of persuasion. Gear puller and an impact gun did the trick on a few of them.
