Energy suspension bushing kit

Hey my car currently have one problem aside from the old bushing... the blown clutch.. the leaking transmission seals, limped shifter... missing shift ****... major exhaust leak... rusted up everything...

the mounting point for the rear spindle to the control arm is worn out. as far as i can tell there are 3 mounting point. top bottom and dtss. the top one is worn, does the es kit include that bushing?

thanks
ray

I think the ES kit includes everything on their site that you can buy individually

PS, if you haven't already buy some easy outs and a tap and die set. you'll need 'em

you need to get the master kit, I bought them and had them professionally installed. Looked like too much work.

I am in process of fitting now and I can tell you I have had nothing but trouble from rear pivot mount on front control arm!! When trying to fit it just does not line up properly with bolt holes. I have had to take the drastic measure of cutting bush to make it fit right. Just have to try and refit now. Wasn't happy though how a direct replacement part doesn't directly fit!!

Ok I had to modify the bush to make it fit correctly. I had to take off approx.3-4mm from the end of the bush.

I then had to elongate the hole a little bit

Part number of energy bush

fitted bush, as you can see there is no way it was going to line up and fit correctly with extra bush on the inside.

Anyway I hope this helps anybody else out there that has same problem

For future browsers, I just fit the Prothane rear pivot mount bush for the front control arms and they fit perfectly with no modification - the hardest part was getting the old one off. :P

I had to modify my bushings too. I did almost the exact same thing to modify it.

It's an 87 - I wish I had better pictures of the Prothane kit, but they don't look quite the same as the one you posted - it has one side with a large lip on it, and the other side just kinda ends - almost exactly like the stock ones, but without the metal sleeve.

The only downside to the prothane kit is that they don't (seem to) specify between the Turbo and Non-turbo, so the new front swaybar brackets are a little loose. :P No worries though, eventually I'll pick up a TII swaybar, I guess, although I was pretty happy with the cornering I already had.

Actually, here's a pic I snapped of the kit - the front control arm pack is the bottom one in this picture.

Oh there a different brand. You can see the end is more square and doesn't have as much overhang as the energy bush and it looks more like my modified version. Oh well count yourself lucky you didn't have to modify them

Definitely - it was almost refreshing popping these on after spending the better part of two hours trying to get the old rubber ones off. :P If anyone's interested, I picked the set up from Summitracing.com for about $80.
