Exclamation wtf i need help dignosing my reving problem

heres whats been going on so far.

when it started i was driving next to my buddy and he gunned it so i did as well. but i noticed that he was killing me bad but then i noticed my car wasnt acting right i was at 4000 rpm and it started to skip and skip i didnt think to much of it because i was almost home. i parked the car that night. then the next morning i went to work and it wouldn't go over 5000 rpm, and acting really sluggish to get there. i also noticed that i was getting low on gas. but when you drive it, you can just feel it losing power and power. i decided to go out and get some more gas for my car. so i took my 5 gallon gas tank and got some gas. by this time the car had cooled off. i started it up and it would only rev to 5 grand. but still really struggles to get there. then after driving it down the road and back it lost all most all its power and would only rev to 2 grand in neutral. i know that i have at least one motor mount because when i did my oil pan gasket the rubber part of the mount was broken. that day i ordered them and they got here on Wednesday ive been waiting till i have a day off work to bring it in and work on it. ive been doing some research on here. so far this is what could possibly be at least what i can think of. most of the problems that i see have either to do with 1.bad grounds. 2. bad secondary injectors. 3. bad fuel pressure or 4. bad fuel filter. that is like the major ones i have seen. but there all like close to my problem but not fully. so far my best guest is that its either a fuel problem or a ground problem. when i go in to work im gonna check it out better. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i know that im going to reground every thing i can find hahaha and check my fuel pressure and defiantly put in my new motor mounts. witch im glad to get out of the way but now every thing is being gay, im all going to check if i can find any vacuum leak if possible. im also gonna do a compression test just in case. but anyone with this same symptoms or herd of any body that has had this problem please let me know any suggestions are appreciated.
thanks
marshall

WELL I FINALY FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!! haha i started by puting in the new motor mouts wich was really eazy on one side but a pain in the *** on the other. then i took off my fuel filter looked at it and blew air out of it and it was fine then i went in to the gas tank and no trash in there so i cleened it any ways then i started it up still same problem ****...... i ask some of the guys at the shop to take a look and they did and the exhaust guy said man your cat is blocked up bad like reall bad and i was like aaa ristriction in the exhaust so i unbolted it and reved it all the way to 8 grand hahaha so the good thing about it all is that i have a rb header and cork sport exhaust ready to be put on just havent had the chance to put it on. so it will be going on in the next week.

the problem: car wount rev over 5 grand and losing power while warming up
