Is this the end?
I was driving around yesterday, warmed up the engine, it was driving fine. I stopped off somewhere for about 30 minutes. Jumped back in my car and the starter wouldn't turn the engine. Thinking it might have been the battery, I replaced it. The starter is new so I know its not that. <Still nothing>We put a wrench on the crank pully to try and turn the engine and it wouldnt budge. The gauges showed no signs of overheating. And the engine was running fine. WTF!!!!!!!!! Can an engine lock up just sitting for 30 minutes?

Wrench? Get a breaker bar with a 1/2" drive 3/4" socket...If she don't turn then, you can start worrying...Make sure you're in neutral, and that none of the accessories have locked up...

I didnt even think to check the accessories although Im riding without the compressor or power steering, the only 2 left to check are the alternator, and water/ air pump pullys. The water pump looks older that dirt. I think ill check that **** first.

For quick troubleshooting, just loosen or remove the belts to get the accessories out of the equation, then see if she'll turn again...Very unusual for an engine to lock up after running like that, unless there's something you're not telling us

An apex seal most likely got wedged upon shutdown/startup. IT's the same thing that'd happen if it blew while running, except then the momentum of the engine would break it and keep on going (albeit weakly, without compression). IN this case the seal locks the engine.
HE wouldn't run out of oil if it were running a few minutes prior. UNless an oil line busted right as he shut it down. Even so, you can have an engine run about, 5 seconds with no oil supply before it locks up from bearing expansion.
