Emissions ?'s
Hey all, I want to switch my N/A to a different intake manifold w/ a standalone. The only problme with this is thay I will have no where to mount my ACV, I was wondering if there was anyway to not have the ACV and just rig something up every 4 years to pass emissions? Like have an electric airpump and just have it pump air into the cat for the entire time of the test?

I failed aircare (BC canadian emissions testing) with the system hooked up completely stock. Rather than fix the problem, I hooked my air pump hose directly to my split air pipe and passed with flying colours.
Normally, I am one for fixing problems correctly, but its a little hard to diagnose and get the correct parts within the same day.
I have since completely removed all of the emissions, and have passed again by putting an air pump back on and hooking it up directly to the cat.
When you do this, however, keep out of the upper rpm ranges as you drive to the test. The ACV normally dumps the air feed in the upper rpm range, and feeding air to the cats under all operating conditions will cause them to overheat and burn out.
