Unhappy emission testing and aborted test

Any help on this problem would be great.

I keep getting an aborted emission test because radiator fluid dumps out onto the ground, which aborted the test. The emission test is a dyno type, which they run the car around 50 to 60 mph for about 240 seconds. There appear to be nothing wrong with the coolant system. I don't over heat when I'm on the road. Stop and go traffic is not a problem; temp don't rise over half the gauge. The gauge is working fine. This is a stock system with a clutch fan. I appear that there isn't enoung air flow during the test. The tester say there is, but I say they are wrong. Anybody got any ideas what I can do to allow the coolant system not to dump coolant fluid on the ground? The coolant is coming from the reservoir.

Thanks for any feedback.

Dodgy.. But.. you COULD completly empty the overflow bottle before the test...
If its leaking out more than that much in just 240secs, then there is a definate problem somewhere..

Alright, one thing you might want to do is check the overflow level, then when the cars running pop it off and see if any air or bubbles are coming from the end of it (with it submerged). If that's all good, i'd start looking around for maybe a bad clutch fan/etc

Bad clutch fan, crappy thermostat...One or the other.

Reason is, that running on a dyno is one of the only times you will simulate driving conditions without the benefit of actual outside air moving over your radiator.

Might be just the radiator cap also.

At this stage of the game, if you overflow tank is not overfilled, go ahead and replace your T-Stat and test your clutch fan as mentioned in this forum. Go ahead and change your T-Stat anyway. At that age, you should do it as preventive maintinence anyhow. Change that radiator cap too while you are at it.
