ok, looking for a good write up on removing emission crap on the 2nd gens.

FC3Spro.com has good diagrams and pics but is there a step by step write up?

STEP #1- Remove crap
STEP #2- Install block off plate
STEP #3- Done!

Lol...don't know if it can get any easier that that. Are you asking what all is capable of being blocked off? Or a how to guide removing a certain item, like the EGR or ACV etc etc...

Yes, there is a good write up on the FB's and would like to see one for the FC's as well.

As for the block offs, that is easy as we have done several. But I am sure there is a simple vaccum clean up that can be done to the FC. And if you wanted to tell a new rotary owner it would be nice to pass along the link.

So Currently their are no good Guides for block-off plates and fixing the stupid vacuum hardlines. All mine are rotted and cracked.

S4 Turbo http://rotaryresurrection.com/2ndgen...s_removal.html
S4 N/A http://rotaryresurrection.com/2ndgen...s_removal.html

I used theres for my S5 turbo. I left the BAC and thermal wax but did some major clean up to the vacume lines.

I have an s4 turbo. I shouldn't have removed emissions. The only thing you need to get rid of is the air pump, tube to the cat and the cat itself. Now that I have a shitty fuel smog kinda smell around the car its not so cool. Just a thought.

I never drove my car before it was removed. Really my reasoning for removing was that I was missing a few items and making some block off plates was the easier and cheaper way to go. I havnt had any ill effects from missing these items though. I get 16mpg in town which isnt that bad for these cars. I do get a little bit of exhaust in the cabin but thats due to not having any catalytic converters. I don't have any back firing either. Only sometimes when its warming up it will die after letting off the gas. Obviously I baby it till its fully warmed up and it rarely happens but I blame that on me removing the dash pots (correct name? parts on throttle body) I do have some sort of electronic problem having to do w/ the switch on the clutch that tells the car your completely off the clutch but I believe it is a totally unrelated problem. I doubt that there was any performance increase from removing the emissions but I was very glad to get rid of the rats nest of vacume lines.

You get SIXTEEN miles per gallon, and you think that is OK?.Holy Shitballs Batman!..I get an Average 25 mpg(city /hwy),and I have a Stock Engine with My Ports Wired, and a 3 Inch Rev II exhaust on the N/A,MSD ignition on the Leading..I Honestly would like to Take the Vacuum lines and Cram them into a Licorice Bag,but I am afraid to Wreck the reliability of the Car.It hasn't let me Down in 3 Years..Back on Topic,If there is a GOOD How-To,YES!.I'm in,But If involves sacrificing the Quick starting, always Running,Dependability.then No,I will stay all tangled in Vacuum lines!.
