Emblems on back.

What is best to use when putting the emblems back on our cars. I wouldn't think super glue because they would break when trying to come back off. I'm not sure of anything that would hold them on and hold through the weather.

I thought about that too but I figured in rain and other weather wouldn't it come off?

Thanks. I didn't know if there was a specific type of tape or anything like that I could use. I will get some of that then.

If you're talking about the black plastic "Mazda" and "RX-7" badges from the back of the car, they were held on with metal clips that grabbed the built-in studs. If you still have the studs on your emblems, you can just buy the clips from the Mazda dealer. They're not that expensive.

I still have the studs but no clips. It was held on with some kind of tape before I took them off for paint.

Cool. I'll check it out. I'd say I'll either do the tape or adhesive.

it's a two part glue some body shops use for attaching side skirts and things like that.

Go to your local auto parts store & get the 2 part epoxy. It comes in a double cyringe it mixes when you push the plunger. This will hold up in weather, it's what I used to re- attach the moldings on my 88.

3M double sided tape has been holding my emblems on since I repainted the car (4 years). Some of the plastic studs/pins were broken off, so the tape was a very simple way to get it done.

I wonder if double sided tape would hold a duckbill spoiler on for good if you cut the studs off...
