Hey fellas I know it's been covered a ton but I wanna hear if there was any followup on wiring in a resistor of any kind so i can keep my ecu from goin to limp mode. I'm tryin to "go premix" and i don't have an extra good pump to just plug in and tie off somewhere(ghetto).

searched an found some threads on the subject but none had a real solution. many people had some good ideas of what they wanted to do but never did or never posted about. i would love for somebody to send me a wiring diagram on what to build or solder to make this happen.

with that being said.....anybody got anything?

There is currently no replacement for it. I developed a board a couple years back that tricked the ECU into thinking it was working, but when someone came in and said he was going to build and sell it for half of what it cost me, so I dropped further work. See you need to create both speed and position inputs into the ECU, so a simple resistor would not work.

And he never came back and announced that his worked.

So there is no replacement for the electric MOP as far as the ECU is concerned. Perhaps use Rotary Aviations premix block off plate that sandwhiches between the MOP and the front cover and would inject any fluid you wanted through the MOP.

cool, i think i read some of those threads. i have bad MOP's and hate limp mode and don't want to get another one and just wanted to try one last hail mary to get my car driving for awhile before i give up and just get a stand-alone

Icemark, do you happen to have any diagrams or notes on what you used to get it to work?
i repair laptop systemboards and might be able to build something up. lemme know, if not then that's cool too.
