Electronic Guys - Gauge Question

The gauges I'm looking at are ISSPRO gauges. In the description it says they're 24V. Includes sender and signal amplifier. Does this mean the amplifier is used on normal 12V systems so that the gauge reads 24V? They're 24V because big trucks use them a lot and thats the current that they have. Thanks

1) You can't use it in your FC, unless we're talking about a voltmeter?

2) Voltage is not equal to current.

Nope, you can't use it in your FC.
I would recommend VDO brand gauges, if you're on a budget.

VDO only offers the 90degree sweep in the black faced. I really want a 270 sweep black faced gauge. I'm going for a stock look. They do offer a 12V one and it includes the sender as well as having all the features I want. I'll probably go with that as opposed to having to purchase the VDO which I'm not completely happy with and then having to get the sender seperately. Thanks for the advice. I orginally wanted VDO but they stopped doing the 270 sweep I think.

ISSPRO makes them in 12v (look at EV auto with white pointers. They are lit up by 2 T-5 bulbs so you can just get the red plastic bulb covers or color them red some other way to make the gauges light up red at night). Buy the 2 and 1/16th or 2 and 3/8ths inch gauges so you actually have mounting options.

I have as set of these (water temp, oil temp, oil pressure) for my FC. I bought the 2and 5/8ths inch EV auto gauges off of ebay (for like $10 a piece). They're pretty nice. They are full sweep electronic and you can find them pretty cheap.

They are accurate as far as I can tell.. my water temp gauge reads 185-190 F when warmed up and it responds quickly when the engine picks up heat under load, and as it returns to normal under normal cruising. Much, much better than the stock s5 gauge that only shows normal operating temp until the engine is cooked.

The only problem I've found is that I cant find any pods to mount them since they are too big (because I bought the big version). They wont all fit under the radio, nor will they fit in the 515 triple gauge pod that replaces the idiot lights. I'm going to try to make something this winter to mount them on the dash. I might just put them in gauge cups on the a-pillar... we'll see.

Preciate it. I'll probably be getting the orange or red bulb covers. Not sure yet.

Autometer also makes guages, and not all of them look like crap...they offer 270 sweep i believe.
