Electronic 6 port actuators idea.

Just an idea I've been throwing around, but I'm not sure it will work. You could get an rpm activated switch(Summit Racing sells one for about $45), and 2 power door lock actuators($10 a piece from Radio Shack Online). You could probably mount these in the place of the stock actuators, and have them activate at 3800 rpm. The only problem is the power door lock actuators are plastic, and they would probably melt, or atleast fail because of the heat. There's most likely several other problems I'm not thinking of, but does anyone think this could actually work?

Yeah I though about that to, the big old chrysler actuators are mostly metal, with a haltech or other stand alone, it could be quite tunable..Max

Yeah, except the 6 pis would open suddenly, and cause a bog, instead of the smooth operation that happens when air pressure is slowly applied to the actuators.
Bad idea, but cool that you're thinking of new things to try. You seem like me, shout out ideas, and then wait for them to be shot down. Don't stop though, we need more ideas all the time.

I have thought about doing the same thing but using a cables to tie both ports together and then to the solenoid and mount the solenoid away from the heat. Haven't gotten any farther than thinking about it though.
