Electrical problems

Gentlemen,

Here is it is. Once a week I lose logicon, wipers and moonroof. Halfway during the drive it will kick in. Sometimes if I turn the car off and back on it will fix it. I am assuming that it is the cpu. Can anyone verify and if so was it a fairly easy fix? Please reply, it really sucks when you can't close your moonroof when a storm is coming.

Well the wiper and sunroof are on the 2nd Ignition lead from the ignition switch (black/red) but the logicon is not on the same power circuit.

But the wiper and blower uses the same ground location(#6).

So I'd check the ground and the ignition switch. Ground #6 is the ground right next to the fuse box in the drivers kick panel. It might be that the sunroof also grounds there, but I am not sure.

Grounds Huh

Hmm. So everyone seems to think that it is a ground hey? I don't have a repair manual...I have had a tough time finding one. I'll have to keep searching.

Thanks,

Scott

On occasion I lose my wipers when first starting off. Its due to the weight of my keys or a sticking ignition. I just turn the key a touch and they work. Maybe you'll get lucky and thats all it is. Try it the next time you lose your wipers. Just a slight jiggle of the keys..

Thanks Hailers,

I've been having the same problem with intermittent failure of my moonroof/windshield wipers. I jiggled my keys, and sure enough it worked. Awesome.
