Question Electrical Power Surges

this **** is not kool either !
well i know my ignition switch is bad or goin badwell n e ways .... i got into my car today and nothing ! no electrical systems workin car not turning over basically nothing was working . well i messed with my room fuse which did not have a fuse in and the car worked again i quickly started it up and took the room fuse out and the car kept working ... well i took it hom and asked my dad what he thought and while he finally got it to turn over because the car had another surge and the electrical system worked again ( voila ) power comes and goes..
fuses all good in the car and out in the engine bay ..
im jus wondering if the ignition switch is not the culprit what could be ?? well i would like to hear ur .02 guyz
thanks

dang don't give up so easily! i'd have someone test your alternator. but, first your battery how new is it??

have you noticed any low voltage recently?

my alternator just went out you will be running at low voltage the no power anywhere is prob. the battery. low voltage after the car starts is prob. the alternator.
if you are sure your switch is bad replace it and then see if you have a bad contact there that's impeding the circuit. also why don't you have a room fuse??? that's going to need to be there.

Remove and clean, reinstall ALL grounds, battery, cassis Harness and the one from the tranny to the firewall. Clean all contact areas to clean shiney meatal. When you have reinstalled, coat them all with vasoline.
