Electric Problem - headlights stuck on full beam
1989 Turbo II
Car was fine when my dad got it, but after going over a bump the headlights came up stuck on main beam, and it stayed that way.
This is what I've traced:
1 - Everything is fine with ignition off
2 - Turn on ignition and you can't turn main beam off.
3 - remove the ILLUM and/or TURN 15A fuses and the headlights work fine.
So I think the switches are fine so the problem might be in the fuse box or the loom.

check and make sure none of the harness is rubbing direct contact with something up front too...

yeh I've had a go at the harness - when I stripped the section across the front some water came out which is not good. I soaked it in WD40 and dried it off but no joy.
Now that I know that the sidelight/turn signal fuse is relevant I'll know what bits of the loom to focus on...
Cheers,
