On Electric fans...

So I need an electric fan that can flow a whoole lot of air. Of course I know about the black magic e-fan, but that crap is expensive. So I do some searching and find this:

http://www.sherco-auto.com/fan.htm

So what makes the black magic fan so expensive, and what makes the sherco fan so cheap?

Here is the black magic fan:

+1, that or off a lincoln continental, but I think it's the same fan. Also a fiero, or any late 80's early 90's e-fan works great too.

I HIGHLY doubt you NEED an electric fan.

Aaron, I think its time to close premix and electric fan threads.

I have a detailed write up on this located here. In this writeup you will find a table of fans with the CFM, SIZE and AMP ratings as well. You will also find out how to wire one up. Aaron also touches on all this.
The Electric Fan

Aaron has very good articles on this as well. Read ALL please.

I probably should have noted im running a v-mount so yes, I need an electric fan. I suppose then I can take a look at the fans mentioned, as well as a fiero e-fan.

Ah well in that case then yes.

Take a look at the link that says "The Electric Fan" and you will find a link to a chart that may have what you are looking for.

oh noessss rotaman is begging a mod to quickly end his embarrasment, before he was e-slapped again.
You don't NEED....
Oh, I guess you do
Pattern much? Strange how you would continue to contribute to a thread you think should be closed

LongShoe - I have owned that fan in the past and it went with my last setup. I bought it again for my new setup - also a v-mount setup. I like it. In talking with the owner of Sherco he explained it to me as simply this is an aftermarket stock replacment fan - nothing more, nothing less. All the other Black Magic/Spal whatevers are marketed to the performance minded crew that expects to pay to play. Honestly how much do you think Black Magic pays to build a fan?
