electric fan instead of clutch fan

I have a stock '91 vert and I want to replace the clutch fan with an electric unit. Wondering if anyone has done that, and if so, could you tell me which is best: 1 big fan, or two smaller fans? who makes the best fan? Any kit available that I am unaware of?

Thanks a lot!

one big fan. a fan that pulls a lot of air. a lot of people use the black magic (dont know which one exactly) I would say if you dont have any problems with the clutch fan, keep it, they are more reliable, and why do you want to switch anyways?

ps. this has been covered a lot, do a search I bet you will find what you are looking for.

I have heard of a lot of people using the e-fan from a Pontiac fiero. You can get these from a boneyard in good shape and wire it up yourself for not that much.

I don't necessarily want to get rid of the clutch fan. But, it's going slowly. I've noticed the temp creeping up, and I keep the coolant clean and full, changed the thermostat to a 180 degree unit, everything is otherwise okay. This is my 5th second gen RX-7, and my first car's fan went and the car overheated and that was the end of my seals. I just don't want that to happen again. I suppose you're right, I probably should just go ahead and replace the clutch fan.

Thanks
