Old school V8s

Actually, the regular fans (excepting the "flex fans") drag the V8s down even harder then the clutch fans do. Getting rid of all that extra drag at the crank (fan, AC, power steering, air pump, etc) gives you more shaft horsepower. The gains may be neglible, but in the quarter mile, a tenth of a second may be all you need to beat the other guy.

On another note, I read alot about most of you guys (and gals) removing your air pump and Cat/pre-cat system. Is that wise? Not from an environmental standpoint (I am not a tree hugger) but doesnt it make your car run rich? I would like to get my engine to rev a little quicker, seems like it takes forever to hit the redline. Could it be because there only about 4 miles on the motor???

temperature switches from summit racing are faulty, i would iwre it to your ignition, i installed one and it didnt ever come on, moved it close to the exjaust manifold and still didnt come on, i sent it back to summit racing and they said it had and "internal problem" well in the process of trying to make the piece of **** work i blew my motor, thats right i lsot all compression, and i dont know how to make SUmmit racing responsible for what happened, they said they would give me a refund on the thing, but how does that pay for a new motor??/
if u install one wire it to the ignition, or to a wire that is hot when the key is on

Damn...That sucks! I went ahead and ran the power lead into the center console, and wired 2 rocker switches. One is red for the fan, and one is blue for the fuel cut-off...It came out pretty cool! I cant seem to quit messing with these cars.
