electric fan

does it make a difference on whether the fan is on the front of the radiator or back? i was goin though the salavage yard today and noticed that some cars have the radiator on the front of it. My manual has the optonal electric fan on the front of the radiator also, so what would be better?

No practicle difference at all. In fact, eliminate the whole problem and stay with the stock fan.

better is behind.

which ever way you have it. make sure the blades are going the right way. you can't just move one from the front to back.

I put a ferio electric fan in my car... no power difference.. at least none noticable.. and the stock fan cools just the same.... all in all i just put the stocker back and went with a reliable worry free way

btw, i had it on the back of the radiotor... its probably better there... easier anyway... and removeing the stock one already makes alot of room for it

if you get an electric also get an adjustable thermostat switch for it as well. makes a big difference in the life of the part as it's not running all the time. I use them in my supra and the 7.. stock was good back in days of cassettes and glam rock but thier are better options now, using a puller fan, inside the engine bay is much better as you can add in a proper low profile shroud as well. The added room leaves me with space for a vortec SC and all the piping

It's much easier to mount a puller fan on the back.
I front wou have to work around or relocate the AC condenser & dryer, oil cooler, horns, relays, & hood latch.
