10th Ann Rx-7 founded

Some Im driving and I find this white rx-7. Coming a little closer I noticed it was a 10th Anniversary rx-7. No ****. I talked to the guy and he is like yeah it has engine problems or what ever. I know if I give this guy like 2 grand he will sale it. However, I would have to wait on a loan. Do I save this RX-7 and restore it. Or put my self in more debt. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

doesnt say blown motor.. says engine problems

with some of the other rx7 owners i've met, could be something as simple as a TPS adjustment and a tune up to make it run smooth.

You're working on a turbo vert. Honestly, I think that's way more fun than a 10th AE. So, I'd avoid going into debt and have fun with the one I've got.

ah I skipped that over to quickly. Get a compression test first and see what the results are.

I may be paying $8,000 for one, but it's motor is brand new (some of it, the rest is rebuilt), and it has MANY many extras! I'm excited! I'd take one for $2000 if it's in good condition... how much does a rebuild run?

Are you out of your freakin mind? You are a poor college student attending one of the most expensive aeronautical universities in the world. You need a loan for a broken car like you need a hole in the head. I suggest putting your money toward something more useful like Hooked on Phonics.

About $2K for the engine rebuild, and another $500 or so for the turbo rebuild, depending on what needs replacing.

BTW, $8K is way too much money for the car unless the "extras" include things like a trailer, spare tires and wheels, spare engines and transmissions, $4K of cash in the trunk (j/k, lol), etc. However, if you are happy then I guess it's OK.

I'm going to list all the extras it comes with (in my other thread when I get the list), but it does come with extra set of wheels and autox tires. MINT condition, new leather, and a lot of extras. I don't think I would even need to modify it much more at all to make me happy.

Mean...

Anyway, woman in the neighborhood next to me has one sitting in her driveway. No battery, but she said it ran great. Paint's going. Seats are shot and she still thinks she can get $6,000+ as she knows a little about the 10AE's rarity--I laughed. It has 60k on the engine and body. I offered her $1500 when she wants to get rid of it.
