Thumbs up

posting pics

the car couldn't get finished cause we were in the middle of a move the same week his car and another car had to leave our house. We are sorry you couldn't rely or count on us but unexpected events took place. As far as El Nene's car just a few things caused his car not to get done but when he gets florida the car should go down hill without a hitch. With all his wiring in place, fuel system is done, and all the brackets and 90% of the welding done, the only thing he has to do is weld his BOV, order a new hot side for his turbo or cut the existing v-band and re-weld a new one and the car is pretty much done. When you get settled in florida and are ready just send the parts back that need welding and we will be more then happy to weld them. here are some pics enjoy gotta love that fuel pump set up i know i do!!!

I was thinking that... Even if it isn't the lowest point it sure is too close for comfort, being that it is a very vital peice...

the pump is fine its even with the control arms it just looks that way its a temporary bracket later on it will be raised 3 inches with the new top bracket i will bw making

the design i came up with is so when i pull the pump out of the car it comes out as a unit

i know it seems low but it isnt, it doesnt move it doesnt touch anything around the car and it higher the the floor pan by an inch, plu if the car was to bottom out the pump will still be safe..BUT ITS A TEMP SOLUTION TO MY NEW BRACKET ..LOL

actually the mounting bracket that goes to the frame of the car then goes down the poll to the fuel pump box was going to be used as mounting beam for his front mount. But plans changed and my brother decided to use that material for his fuel pump set up. The location that it is in is the best location but it was a temp solution so he could get his car started in florida.

Later if El nene decides to half in half way out the fuel cell he could raise the fuel pump mounting source a great deal.

The aero motive fuel pump should never over work it self. its better for the fuel to flow to the pump then for the fuel pump to suck out the fuel from the fuel cell. Aeromotive recommends that a1000 be mounted lower then fuel cell so the pump won't cavitate, burnout, or not work properly.

I still think the pump look ****

I understand why the pump is at that level and that it's a temporary solution but it just looks at risk.

Also...can the pump be removed from the bracket without cracking a fuel line?
