I'd bet money that if you downloaded the factory service manual from the web, the series five manual, that you won't find a word about EGR.

Or if you downloaded this http://www.mazdaformance.com/rx7parts.htm you won't find a egr valve for a series five. I don't own one and have never laid eyes on a series five car. It's best if you look for yourself at the above sites.

Question is, why do you think that particular hose comes from the EGR? or goes to it? Tell us more about where the mystery hose leads to and we can probably help you more.

well. It comes off the header and Im pretty sure u can rehook it back into the intake manifold to but some exhaust back in it. I might be TOTALLY off though. i am really new to rotary engines. And im trying to fix a few things.

Off the header? you sure? maybe your thinking the hose, or pipe I shall say, coming from the cats that runs up behind the header. Then again Im not to sure if the 6 port activation from the cats/presilencer is used on an S5, I thought I heard it was just the airpump that did all the work...

eh, im confused. picture!
