Angry Which EGI fuse ?

To unflood the motor I know I have to remove the EGi fuse. But there are two of them in my 87 N\A. Which one do I pull out? Second, the other day when my dad tried to charge the battery, he connected the wrong wires together and seemed tohave shorted something out. There was a clicking noise, like a relay, when I rmoved and reinstalled the EGI fuse. But after what my dad did, there is no click anymore. What's the deal ? After I remove the plugs to unflood, how do I crank the motor for? Untill all of the white smoke comes outs of the plugs holes?

Check the fuses inside the car. There is one called ENGINE and I think its on the third or forth row from the bottom. Vital to starting the car.

Just pull both EGI fuses under the hood. Crank it for like 5 seconds at a time. Pause, crank for 5 seconds at a time. Do it alot. Then do it one more time. Then put them back in and try starting it, don't give it any gas while cranking it. If you get it started go buy a toggle switch and install a fuel cut-off switch.

And if that does not work.......get a digital meter out and tell us if the little white plug connected to the LEAD COIL ASSY, has 12v on the black/yellow wire, or not. That might be a clue to if you have a electrical problem or not. I do have some other ideas if you do have 12v at the black/yellow wire. Need to know about that item first.

I have a similar problem....car won't start and flooded. Here's my question--when I tried to unflood it, I pulled the fuse INSIDE the car for the fuel pump, NOT the EGI fuse under the hood. Will that make a difference? Thought I unflooded it, but it still doesn't start....tries to start but dies right away. I know I am gonna pun the ATF in for 24 hours, but I want to know if I am doing this right or not...
