Exclamation EGI COMP fuse keeps blowing, what could be wrong?!?

alrighty, well seems like that my rx7 has given me a lot of problems. i have a 86 rx7 gxl n/a by the way. K it happened when i was at a drive thru when all of a sudden the car just stopped and tried starting it again and again but it wouldnt start. so the next day, went to check everything and i opened the main fuse box and there it was the 30A egi comp fuse is blown. so i was like ok, this is an easy fix, and i went in and put in a new fuse, started the car and it worked perfectly. went and drove it around the block with no problems.. 15 later tried starting it again and it wouldnt work at all, checked my fuse box again and the same fuse is blown again.... i dont know where to start.... what could be the problem??? help guys!! i really want my car to be running by may 6 so i could join the autox here in my town... tell me what i have to do and what i have to check and what is the most probable cause of my problem thanks in advance

EGI COMP feeds all the solenoids on the engine including the two on the acv. Check those two first. The color of the wire is BLACK/WHITE. The one that comes from the EGI COMP.

Your acv is the big chuck of metal connected to your Lower Intake Manifold. Follow the hose from your air pump, it plugs right into the ACV. There are 2 solenoids on it, they are '2-wire' connectors coming off the ACV. One black, one white, one male, other female, i believe.

Sounds to me like a bad battery. If you have a voltmeter, hook it up to the battery to measure Open Circuit Voltage. With nothing on, it should sit between 12.50-12.66V. That will tell you that it is charged up completely, but still does not tell you the capacity that your battery has.
Keep the voltmeter hooked up and have a friend try to start the car, if your voltage drops below 10V within 15 seconds of trying to crank, your battery is toast, but a new one.
My guess is that when you try to crank, your battery will drop immediatley to 8V or less.

Look about 6 inches under your engine bay fusebox for a black wire with a single spade connector. It's labeled X-23 in the FSM.

Is it hooked up?

Edit: Nevermind, you fixed it and I hadn't reloaded the page to see you did.
