egi comp fuse blows, relating to fuel
Posted a little about this issue in the introduction page, hence why i’m moving the topic here.
I have a 1987 rx7 turbo ii, and while on the freeway two days ago the car died and would not start. quick look around the engine bay made me realize the egi comp 1 fuse was blown, replaced it, blown again. This happened about 12 hours after replacing my fuel pump with a walbro 255. So far i’ve unplugged everything relating to that fuse and it has still blown, except the fuel pump (engine) fuse and the yellow/black fuel pump relay by the steering column. i’ve traced the wiring from the fuel pump back and can notice no scortch marks, i’ve replaced the fuel pump relay, put the old pump back in, and still the fuse blows. while stuck on the side of the road it did briefly start, then immediately died as the fuse popped. any help or direction with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
