ecu, wiring harness questions

if i were to get a 87, or early model 88 Turbo2 engine. and then used a late model 88 turbo2 ecu and wiring harness. would that work? would i need to get the high impedence injectors? or could i keep with the old ones?

If memory serves, the impedence changed midway through the 87 model year. You can easily adapt the harness to low imp injectors by adding resistors/etc...Not to many compatability problems with the mod your talking about.

Hi to every one. I need some help!!. I have a 1987 RX7 TurbII body with an 1990 engine. At first was working fine, but suddenly the fuel injectors started to show like they were working open(fuel is constantly), tachometer not working, and sparkplug are drowned in fuel(cover in black residual). The only new updates this car has is: intercooler, 550cc/720cc fuel injectors/Apex controller./ Things that hadbeen recently changed: Throtter sensor/both coil/igntio/module. The car starts but cannot run. I am thinking, may be the ECU. Can anyboby out there can help me, will deeply appreciate your expertise in this matter, Very sincerely Dr. Toro
