bought a j-spec rew engien today

got a hell of a deal today.j-spec rew motor with ecu and uncut wiring harnness for $900 the motor only has 36k on it and i sat in the car before it was pulled out. question, what in the hell do i do about the mount situation? motivefab.com has sum , but i heard they are cheap.. dunno if anyone know's if anything else is out there.

make them compression test it before shipping, and yes get ready to spend alot of money, but it'll be sweet if you can do it

They arent too bad, theres a 600hp build thread on here where someone swapped an REW.

Im sure you already know youll need to do a bit of plumbing and get an aftermarket ecu of course.

lol no.. it's not for sale. i see the mount's being the biggest problem. not the plumbing . i've got a good shop to do all my line's . i just need to pin this **** down.

the banzai engine mounts are for the 13b-re(cosmo) and not the 13b-rew(fd).

motivefab does make the mounts for the rew but i do not know about the quality. there is a thread here about a month ago with the same question and "titaniumTT" posted a link to teamfc3s.org and it had some good info on it and i also think that "z-brown" did a similar swap and it only costed him about 10 bucks and some time to get the motor in.

just drill and tap the center iron in order to use the stock fc mounts but it wont clear the downpipe,in fact get rid of the twins and get a single.
