That's some very usefull stuff! Unfortunately it's absolutely massive.
I definately don't have time to go hardcore on that stuff for another few weeks...
As for your BSEE, personally I don't find the work super difficult, it's your time and sanity that are the problem. Given enough time, one can usually sort stuff out. You need to stay on top of things because there are times when you're getting jerked around and don't have time to learn the material as well as you'd like. (BTW: Comp eng is electrical with some small differences. If you pick the electives correctly they can be the same minus ~2 courses out of 40-44)

Cool, just stumbled across this thread.
I didn't want to take apart my working 332 ECU so I've been working with a spare 326 ECU. I've dumped the ROM's, dis-assembled and partially decoded the code and have a partial internal schematic as well. Its a fairly simple ECU, based on a 6303 processor with mostly standard I/O chips. DASMx does a lovely job of dis-assembly. The code is not all that big/complex (~10k lines dis-assembled), just tons of lookup functions. Now that I have a 332 image (thanks Ted!), I'm going to look into that one - anybody want to join the effort?

Just so you know, I bailed on the idea of doing this. I don't have the time and I changed my 4th year project to an A/F controller like the Apex'i S-AFC. Sorry.

Good luck on your term project. You might want to check out http://www.diy-efi.org/diy_efi/ if you haven't already.

Well, I also -might- have access to a EEPROM Reader/Burner (actually I have used it in the past for my projects when I was in the NTUA), and I have also taken various courses on Assembly (from Z80 to x86 processors), which I also aced
I took a look at the dumps, and I cannt really say I figured anything out yet (for the couple of minutes that I looked at them
), but if anyone has any ideas, be sure to send them my way as well

Back from the dead but... If any of you guys care to share the files I got a burner and plenty of chips. I also know the language. By the way I got PSX and PS2 modchips that I make myself. I wanna crack the chip, specially mine n/a auto tranny.
