ECU Power Down
Uh, your profile shows this to be an 87. If it is, you do not have to worry about the ECU retaining codes - this ECU (86-88) loses its error codes as soon as the error disappears. It couldn't retain a code to save its life!
So don't worry about the brake pedal - you can't erase what isn't there!

The ecu resets, but retains all the codes. If you want to clear the codes, remove the positive terminal and depress the brake pedal for a few seconds.
