ECU placement????

ok guys, this may seem like a dumb question, but i am stripping my interior for the most part, cause red is the ghey and im too lazy to put carpeting in lol so i was wondering.....................where do u guys put ur ECU after u strip out ur car?? i know some of u have had to have stripped ur interior lol but i dont want to leave it on the floor un covered otherwise it can get wet and then im fucked!!! even with the plate over it its not protected form wet feet leakage lol

You know, if I ever get an aftermarket ecu or piggyback like the haltec or emanage, im putting it in the glove box and im locking it

I have my Megasquirt mounted to the back of my glovebox out of reach and sight. The wiring harness run up through the transmission tunnel and under the back of the intake manifold mostly out of sight. Hides real nice this way.

Yea I guess you'd like to hide it, first thing a thief usually checks I spose is the glovebox

can i get the harness to reach into the glove box with out akeing it aout and runnining it somewhere else?? i have the stock ECU still (1.7 in it)

Why wouldn't you just leave it where it is? It's very well protected (even from wet feet), and the carpet would not have offered much more protection than the steel plate does. Save yourself a lot of unnecessary hassle and leave it where it is.
