ECU error codes

How would one go about testing the ECU codes to see if all the sensors are working properly? (the check engine light does NOT come on). Will it work even if the light doesnt come on?
Thanks

Goto http://www.teamfc3s.org/ there is a section on making a error code tester that plugs in the socket in the engine bay + it lists the error codes

A dyno run with a wide-band O2 sensor up the tail pipe is the only way to be sure. In-car O2 meters are only a rough guide and are notoriously innacurate.
