ECU disection (S5 N351, possibly reman?)

Pulled the ECU out, the car was throwing code 27 and 37, so I figured i'd check to see if it was damaged. Looks fine to me, but I figure I'd ask the opinion of others as well.

Does anyone know if disconnecting the OMP connector and running premix is safe to do in the meantime to move the car around while I wait on a replacement OMP? Not wanting to risk damaging anything. I figured it would be okay but better safe than sorry.

I didnt snap a picture of the cover, but I'm wondering if its a reman. Half the label is worn off, and I know they change the last digits to 881 R. I can make out N 351, 18 _ 81 _ (where _ means illegible) that 81 has me considering the possibility it might be.

You'd still get limp mode whether you disconnect the OMP or leave the Bad one connected.
Driving it would be a real snot bag.

Oh I'm aware I would still get limp mode. I'm just worried about it burning out the ECU if i just leave it connected like it is. I figured disconnecting it and running premix while I wait on the new pump. It wouldnt be driven while this is happening, but in case i need to move the car around the yard, etc. I dont want to take a chance on frying the ECU everytime I have to run it.

Well just don't run if if you do not have to.(on the off chance that the ECU may be good.)
Really,If you think about it, if there is ECU damage it has already been done by the limp mode..

Now if you are thinking about Premixing, then you may want to check out the RTEK Ecu Upgrade.
With the 2.0 or 2.1( whatever the latest is) you can run the OMP or take it out of the equation all together...That way you should Never have a Limp mode situation arise again.

I looked over it pretty thoroughly, I didn't see anything burned/blown. I'm probably going to disconnect the electrical connector from the OMP to prevent it damaging the ecu and just dump some two stroke in the car in case i do have to run it in the meantime to move it, etc.

On the side note, I found a S5 in a you pull it yard that I am going to go check out tomorrow, anyone have any requests? (tail lights are already gone, I know that much already)
