This valve is used to direct air pump air to the exhaust ports when the Switching Valve is directing air to the Cat (Split Air). All these valves are a part of the Air Control Valve (ACV), the big multi-purpose valve. The solenoid screws into the valve, and has an electrical connection directly to the ECU. Wires are Black/red and Black/white. It is either disconnected or the valve itself went bad. I do not believe one can be purchased seperately, though, you may need to purchase a whole new ACV. It is necessary only for emissions. Hope this helps.
