ebay speed chips are basically home made resistors that cost about .36 cents to make. they do nothing but make your car run rich and waste more gas, so if you are into that, go for it.

They're currently only for the S4 TII, and there's one for the S5 NA that eliminates the OMP limp mode, but they're working on an NA version of the 2.0, which is programable via a PDA.

The eBay "chips" aren't chips and don't add any performance or fuel economy.

If it sounds too good to be true...

If it was that easy the manufacturers would be doing it already, there is no easy solution for more power or economy,

yes they are for s4 TII and s5 n/a for eliminates the OMP limp mode. That is about it for the FC. Mine as well go piggyback or standalone in this case.
For light n/a tunning go piggyback
For heavly modded turbo and maybe over 250rwhp n/a you may want to go standalone

If you're thinking "performance" and "ebay" at the same time... your most likely in for some hurt...

Another thing that kills me is the "vortex pipes" you slap on your intake. A pipe with an inside twist that swirls air and claims to mix the fuel better when it's injected. Sounds like a perfectly resonable claim. But I'm rather sure the compression phase of a combustion engine mixes the fuel rather well

I wonder what other cheap and bogus mods there are on ebay.

my car is 99% built from ebay parts, even the car itself was purchased on ebay so quit making broad unsubstantiated statements.

as for the speed chip, this **** is covered AT LEAST once a week...

you just have to be selective when purchasing things on ebay, tons of knock off and crap parts, yes, but there is some diamonds in there too for cheap if you look hard enough.
