Question Ebay racing harnesses, crap?

Anyone on here ever actually get their harnesses off of ebay? Most of the inexpensive ones look like they'd be crap, especially for being so cheap, doesn't seem trustworthy at all. But I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone has actually used them and been ok. Anyone buy them off ebay?

You mean a 5-point harness? I wouldn't use a 5-point harness on the street -- they aren't designed for use on the streets.

Any racing sactioining body will require current SFI production dates...I would never race with anything less.

3/4/5 point harness, any of those. Just wondering if the ones on ebay (other than the ones made by like sparco, weaponR, etc) are crap.

well i say this, i brought some that say mazda on them and cost me only $35.00 they are very crappy, but i really want them for looks. i dont really race my car, but they still hold u into place. i braked really hard just to see, and they worked just fine. so again, i guess it depends for what reasons u want them for.

Braking is less than 1G of force unless you've got race rubber. A crash will be 30+ G of force...
