Been seeing this listed on eBay by multiple vendors but I have yet to see a installed pic. Didn't find a thread for it either so I figured I'd ask to see if anyone has seen it or installed one themselves.

Well if its for an FD, does anyone have pics of it installed on a 3rd Gen?

 

I read that ad and nowhere did it say it was a top mount replacement. It said it was "Bolt in" but it didn't say where. It's 20" x 14", like twice as big as the original.

 

I dunno, looks like the only way it'd plumb together is as a top mount. The tilde (~) pipe would go to the turbo outlet, while the J-pipe goes between the intercooler outlet and throttle body.

Be aware, it IS an ebay "bolt on" kit, lacking any provision for the IAT sensor or stock BOV. And the whole thing is 'floating' minus one questionable bracket too

 

I cant find a picture of it installed at the moment so you will just have to trust me


See that goofy little bracket on the bottom right of the intercooler near the core? That's where the AST attaches...

The long J pipe with a "greddy" flange goes from the Y-pipe to the intercooler, the little "S" pipe goes from the intercooler to the stock throttle inlet tube.

Do a search for FD intercoolers and you will see the same style of kits listed there as well.

Well would you look at that, thanks for the healthy knowledge good sir. Saved me the headache of figuring out if it fit and prevented me from ordering something that wouldn't work on my FC.
