easy way to check and adj s5 n/a tps correctly

hi, I know many threads have talked about this(possible). but I am not sure which key word will get me the answer quick, after tried "throttle" and "throttle sensor". I can't use "tps" because it need at least 4 letters. :-(

anyhow, I have the FSM, but it seems quite complicated at page F1-83. I don't have the special tools. right now, I have two issue to correct my tps:

1) to check the voltage, we need to check 2F and 2G from ECU??? that is too much work. I just checked from the green 3 pin next to the pressure sensor. but I couldn't get the correct reading, I think. the voltages won't change even I open the throttle wide, refering to page F1-80.

2)to adjust it, I built a LEDs tools as suggested by a forum member(those LEDs are from radioshack). I warmed up the car, stop it. and then plug LEDs to the green 3 pin plug. NO lights. well, the FSM says
step 1)loose the mounting bolts, and adjust the tps to the voltage reading from 1). well, since I can't get correct reading from 1), I don't know what to adjust. also, are the mounting bolts for tps or for the adjustment screw? I am confused with the description.

any quick and easy way???

thanks

Unplug the TPS connector.
Clip a cheap analog (needle type) VOM on the green & orange pins.
Set the meter to the 1K scale.
Hold off the throttle & work the short range TPS plunger in & out.
You should see a smooth sweep from ~0 to ~5K ohms.
Any bad spots or drop outs in the stroke - it's bad.
Find the fast idle (warm-up) cam & back it off so the throttle sits on the hard idle stop.
Set the TPS ohms to 1K.
While holding off the fast idle cam, open & close the throttle a few time to see that the 1K setting repeats.

The easiest way (and only way in my opinion) to adjust the TPS correctly is with an ohmmeter as SureShot posted.
