Use the stock fan if it is working properly.

Thruthfully though, the stock fan was great w/ the stock shroud, and space considerations aside there really isn't a valid reason to replace it. Although it is quite annoying to remove if you need to work on anything.
i guess i actually liked having the shroud as a place to lay tools and parts.

Interesting. So even if a candidate is wholly unqualified yet tell you they were an Eagle Scout, they have a job?

Your attitude to other people's posts is also terrible. I suggest you either adjust it, or ignore the posts that annoy you so much. Life is too short, after all.
An Eagle Scout could not apply for a job with me for which he is unqualified. You missed the part about hiring/mentoring young people instead of Illegal workers. That means college students, high-school students etc. That said, at any age, all other things being equal, by definition an Eagle Scout is more qualified for a given job than his competitor. Disclaimer: I am NOT an Eagle Scout.

I get to choose my attitude toward a self-described publicly proclaimed thief. We might disagree on the definition of thief, but if truth spoken directly is violation of the TOU, then you should warn me in a PM. I do not mean this statement to disrespect or challange your obligations as a Board Moderator.

Some times someone who is basically a good guy in a bad situation needs the truth spoken to help recalibrate internal thinking.

Lol, seriously, lighten up! I am hardly a wastrel or a time thief by any means, but I have absolutely no reason to argue that point to someone who does not know me and is basing his assessment on some message board posts.

Maybe not.

-Six-: Unless you own the company or are a straight-commission 1099-type guy, you need to realize that at 9:34 CDT in Chicago, you are in fact wasting your employers money being bored and starting an internet discussion about cooling fans. A good man will find something to do, someone to help/support/assist. You could even design a new cover sheet for the TPS reports.

Rule of thumb: The first 40 hours of work per week is for your job. The second 40 hours of work is for your career.

Think about it.

Good Luck.

I am paid 100% commission only, and 40 hours a week, I wish! I left at 2pm that day because there was no business, and I still worked over 40 hours for the week. It is what it is, and you won't hear me whine about it, and I always put forth effort that goes above and beyond what is expected of my position. Sometimes you really have exhausted all productive work activities, which is a good thing when you think about it.

That said, I really do appreciate your perspective on the matter, I see plenty of people that steal time and productivity in general. It makes it difficult for those in charge to achieve goals, and it hurts the productivity of the company in general. You sound like a good employer/manager, and the fact that you expect the best effort from your employees is as it should be; honest days pay for an honest days work.

Also, I could probably use a new job rather than recalibrated thinking, you hiring?

(BTW, I am on lunch right now )
